So I'm guessing it's the .308 version and not the .300 BLK rifle. Anyway any bullet 125 grain hunting bullet and up will work for deer and 150-165 grain for elk if you use a solid copper bullet from Barnes, Nosler, & Hornady. Anything over 165 grains in weight just stick to regular bullets for game larger than deer. My daughter smokes white tail with the 125 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips at over 3000 fps from her .300 Savage, and I'd not be afraid of it in a .308 Win.
