hunting run down

For a place supposedly run over with pigs ... we saw nothing.. no sign
At all of pigs... we found several spots laid over with achorns... untouched..
Saw lots of signs of turky.. and
I do know spots next year for deer.. we saw. A bunch.

So not all was lost..
 
It happens lol. The moons not excatly right now anyways. If you have a dog just watch an see when its playful an energetic, thats when you need to be huntin lol. Thats why the call it huntin not killin man, better luck next time
 
The pigs on my places have been nocturnal....They will start showing up in the daytime next month thru the summer....
 
With all this rain we been getting, the pigs are hitting the hay and sod farms hard at night... Easy walking for them and the big fat grubs are right under the surface...

I did not know about not being out in day in summer and at night in winter..
That is important info.... espically next weekend when I go try and shoot my first turky...
Not sure I will be successful as this is my first hunt for those...

Any tips on catching those guys to would be great...to :)
 
Havent been on for a while an am just seeing this. As odd as it sounds take a packet of grape coolaid mix an sprinkle it on corn, works pretty good lol. That or a 5 gallon bucket of corn with a cup of diesel fuel mixed in (very strange I know but it drives them NUTS)
