Just want to reiterate what has been mentioned, and add to the "code words" thread I started after Debate II.

"None of my proposals would have any effect on hunters or sportsmen or people who use rifles."

There should be absolutly no mistaking what he is saying. Couldn't be any plainer. Handguns - not protected. Self-defense - not your right.

We need a TV commercial:

"This is your Constitution"
"This is your Constitution under Gore"
"Any questions?"

Already got a thread open on this very issue! I would love to see a commercial about this!

Try to take away my gun...and you will see my 2nd Amendment Right in ACTION!!! -Me

The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crime. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." Thomas Jefferson

Neither of these two bozo's has any idea what the constitution means. Both of them are saying that they will do this or do that, most of which the federal government was never granted to the power to do.

Yes I already voted by absentee and it was for Bush. Most of the other's including U.S. Senator, I cast my vote for lib canidates (where we had one to vote for). Unless the republicrates change their ways, in the next election I will start voting a strict lib ticket.

The debate is not about guns,
but rather who has the ultimate power to rule,
the People or Government.
