I have been looking for a affordable scope. The Sportsmans guide has Hunter wicked scopre 3-9x50mm clearance for $99.00

-adjustable turrets Duplex Reticle
-50 mm objective lens is fully multi-coated to ensure glare-free light transmission
-Wide angle design for a large field of view
-F.O.V. @ 100 yds. is 36' at 3X, 12' at 9X
-Dry nitrogen purged, so it's 100% waterproof, fogproof and shockproof
-3.2-3.3" eye relief for high-contrast viewing
-1" aircraft aluminum tube is 15 1/2" long, weighs 18 ozs.

Does anybody know anything about these scopes???

Where is it made?

USA or Europe is typically good
Pacific Rim is typically not so good
China is typically BAD

I like to save money, but a cheap scope is nothing more than a ...cheap scope. Skimp on the rifle, but not the scope. Or better yet, save a while longer and buy quality sporting goods.

If that were the case, I might give it a try. I'm sorry for jumping in without knowing anything about that particular scope. I hope to get a range report if you get one.

No problem. Thanks. They supposedly range from $250 to $300? I have been surfing the internet and have not found anything bad on them, only a few articles in hunting magazines basically saying there a good scope? :)

Thanks Fremmer, This scope is going on A ruger m77 .270, that I just picked up for $275 . I Have Browning Bar Safari Mk II 7mm Mag with a Nikon scope. The ruger will be just a back up gun, I Think? As to firing 200 to 300 rounds through it, that will likely happen in 15 to 20 years, 9 bullets to sight it in, 1 bullet for the kill. :) So if the firing line is still here, will post then

OK, Still up in the air, Part of me says give it a try. Its only $99.00. If its a piece of XXit!. I'll give it to my brother-in-law for Christmas !!!!

Take a chance on the unknown if you want. The problem with taking the chance while hunting is that you may not realize that the scope is crappy until you see a deer, raise the rifle, and....the scope is fogged up. Or the reticle is messed up. Or the scope looks fine, but when you took the shot you either missed, or (even worse) wounded the animal because the scope didn't hold zero.

It is up to you. Spend the extra $69.00 to not have to worry about it.
