I am trying to get my Hunting license in west TN and have run into a slight issue with being able to attend a class. Most classes near my location seem to be a Friday night and Saturday morning class and on Fridays I work from 1500-2200 while the coarse is from 1800-2200 on Friday.

Now what is the best way to go about getting the license with out being able to be at the designated place at the designated time? I read something about an online class on the TWRA site but it says I have to attend a field day but it does not list where or when these "field days" take place.

I am 17, Have a large area which to hunt on (Grandfathers) and know 99% of the course questions.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Yea I posted that at 11:20 last night and I dont think they would want to answer that late. But I will try this morning.

It took 319 days but I passed the test and am ready to roll...except I have to work the possessing plant...guess I have to get up early.

In our state and common to others, the field day is scheduled once they have a required number of applicants. Once you indicate you are ready for the field day, your name goes on a list. Our field day is of four hour duration and basically covers firearms handling and safety. The way it works, is that a person takes the internet class, takes the internet test and then you may purchase a voucher, for the future field day. We usually conduct about two field days a year and tailored more for folks like you and your schedule. You have to make contact with the training folks in your area. Were you required to purchase a voucher for your field day portion?

These internet classes should not be confused with the regular two day class. Just and extension to better serve the public.

Be Safe !!!
