This is such a weird occurence I thought to post it and see if anyone has ever seen anyhting like it.
I was eating dinner with the family at a restaurant in town when we saw a black and white bird chasing a sparrow past the window. This went on a couple of times then the B&W chased the sparrow into the window, killing it.
B&W flew around a couple of minutes then stopped, picked up the sparrow in its beak (about 1/2 of its own size) and flew off, ostensibly to its nest to feed its chicks.
Looking it up in the bird book it appears to be an Easter Kingbird, which is known for its aggressive behavior. But running sparrows into windows?
