Hey guys, last month I purchased 600 rounds of some 45 acp ammo from Hungary. It cheap and the dealer said it was good ammo. Afterwards, I try it out in my 1911. It groups great at 25 yards. However, all the rounds are about a foot below POA. So, I'm thinging I 'm just having a bad day. Same thing happens this month. I know it's the ammo because I've had great results with S&B and PMP. has anyone else use this Hungarian stuff?

I have used a lot of that Hungarian "Lake City" ammo and have had no problem. It seems to shoot to the same point as U.S. GI ball.

If the ammo for which you have sighted the gun is of a lower velocity than the Hungarian ammo, the latter will shoot low.

This is not a mistake. If the bullet's barrel time is less, the bullet will go lower, since the sights are set to take into account the recoil of the gun while the bullet is in the barrel.
