Luckily, we have at least one tool to fight back with: Laws that require fair, open contract bidding processes. Giving preferential treatment to S&W would violate those laws. Plus the FOP is against the S&W favoring because it prevents PDs from choosing the lowest priced/best value sidearms, which can strap their tight budgets.
