Huge shooting performance plus

Its the little things that got me. Targets with a 4" white center and the rest black. At 40-50 feet I thought I was shooting well with 4" groups shooting with two hands. Well I couldn't really see the target/sight combination as the
back sight was partially "in the black" of the target, making centering the front sight a pure guess. I have been shooting these targets for years but yesterday I put up a 100 yard rifle target that had florescent
centers and white outsides. The first clip of 6 from a CW-40 KAHR shot a 1.5" group. The rest were about the same. Lesson learned. Then I took out my
XD-45, 4" that I had added Crimson Trace grips too. After two clips of 10 I was shooting almost one hole. This happened time after time.
The 4" targets are now going to be used for closer range rapid fire shooting.
Also Crimson Trace is going on everything I might ever use for self defense.
I feel like an idiot for not seeing the target size problem.
WATCH THE SMALL STUFF, IT'S IMPORTANT!

If you're having trouble seeing your sights against some backgrounds, you might also want to invest in night sights.

A SD shooting isn't always well lit, and BG's don't tend to wear florecent clothing.

You're absolutely right though; the little things can make a difference.

"Aim small, miss small."

I have been using 3x5" index cards with a 1" orange dot in the center for about three years. The small target and smaller center dot really help you to focus on the target.
