Huge Demonstration

Kentucky Rifle

I posted this at "Glock Talk" also.
There is a huge demonstration going on right now at the court house in downtown Louisville. (Police officers and civilians.) Yesterday the mayor/moron fired the police chief for participation in an awards banquet where two officers who had shot and killed a criminal in a stolen truck and was trying to run them down were to be honored for valor. The grand jury has ruled that this was a "good shoot", however the mayor/moron didn't accept this.
I'll keep you posted.

Yeah and if one or both of the officers had been killed he`d be leading the line of politicians with crocodile tears telling everyone in hearing distance who can vote what a tough on crime guy he is. Has he gone over to the perps house yet to apologize to his mommy? I didn`t know Dinkins was the mayor of Louisville now.

Can you post a contact number at the Mayor's office where folks can voice their support for the Police Chief?

I'll call on my own GD dime to let this guy know what I think.

Speaking of Mayors... you should get a look at Mayor Bill Campbell of Atlanta. Always there during some tradgedy to soak up the cameras. He was also leading a lawsuit against gun mfg.

He's such a dork!

Just emailed my brother-in-law, who lives in Louisville, to see if I can get us some local info. He's not really into guns, but he's very much *not* into insane stupid foolishness on the part of elected officials, either.

Also, regarding Ben's comment on Bill Campbell, Atlanta's mayor: As a 20+ year resident of the Atlanta metro area, Bill takes the cake for general idiocy and incompetence. Thank God the City of Atlanta is a relatively small geographic area (only around 400,000 population in a metro area of 2.5-3 million depending on where you draw the lines). He'll be angling for some kind of Cabinet/high governmental position if Gore gets elected; another good reason to vote Republican.

This is a real bad time for law enforcement. I keep hearing things like "the mayor has cut the heart out of the police department". This is the same mayor who refused to follow Kentucky state law and auction siezed firearms to local FFL's to raise money for body armor for smaller departments. He said that he was keeping guns off the street. When asked about his unconstitutional behavior, he would just shrug his shoulders and say, "I don't need no steenking constitution". (His own parady of "Treasure of the Sierra Madre")
This elitist moron thinks to hell with the law, I know what's best.
In interviews, on the local news, people are saying that this definately will NOT go away. I hope they're right. I'll keep you posted of any further developments.

That chief disproves my early theory that all police chiefs and sheriffs were somehow related by blood (and therefore, are all politicians and idiots). Some lucky department stands to get one heckuva Chief.
