HS2000

I've checked out their web page & read the reviews. Has anybody here actually shot the HS America HS2000? It looks like it might be an awesome pistol. How about some first hand reviews.

While I haven't shot it, I have handled it one more than one occassion. It feels junky. It's a cheap knock off of the Glock with a 1911 type safety.

You can tell just by handling it that the quality isn't there. The polymer frame isn't as sturdy as the Glock (or HK or Walther or anyone else), and the grip safety feels like it will snap off after picking it up a few times. I also doubt that hi-caps are available.

Ok, so I was pretty rough, but those are my impressions. It may be the best shooting pistol ever made, so check it out before you follow my advice.

barn,

I'll take your word for it, though I have 2 magazine reviews that both praise the quality of manufacture. HS makes hi-caps for people whose governments don't treat them like slightly retarded children, but we can't get them here.

I saw an HS2000 in .357 SIG for $400 NIB at a dealer, didn't bother to handle it. I'd wait and see if they're still around in a couple of years.
