HS2000

The local shop has an HS2000 in .357 SIG for $450 NIB. I've read one review of the 9mm version, they were complimentary (but it takes a real POS to draw a bad review in most gun mags).

The gun itself looks interesting, as the article said it's like a cross between a Glock and a SIG (which makes it either a Sock or a Glig?). I just don't know about sticking $450 worth of neck out on a new Croatian import with no established rep.

Anyone actually used the HS2000? Recommendations? I need an answer before the 18th -- my wife asked what I want for Fathers' Day and I need to answer her. :)

Whats a HS2000? Never heard of it.

Washington DC does not allow citizens to own guns, Yet it's the murder capital of the U.S.

Got a chance to shoot one in 9mm. Has a grip safety like the 1911 and safe trigger like the glock. Shoots very well. Feels like the glock in recoil. Don't know how it will hold up.

I've been pretty impressed by the two examples that I've handled. It appears to be a Glock/Sig hybrid, with some nice other extras. The plastic is less slippery feeling, IMO, and the finish looks top shelf. The steel magazine is engineered for 10rds, rather than having a 3'long baseplate in order to block it. :(
There is at least one poster here who bought one and wrote about it, possibly a month ago, IIRC.

It looks like a fine pistol. I wonder about ongoing support and parts. Croatia's finest. Hope it never breaks.

I read somewhere that it was listed at $399...you might want to call the importer to check what their MSRP is.
