How would you secure my home

Ok so I recently moved into a double wide mobile home. I know that no home is burglar proof but I feel that a mobile home is especially hard to secure.
I do not have a traditional front door, instead I have sliding glass doors in the front and back of the house.
The windows through out are also old and do not lock shut.

I have a dog and i put tint on the sliding doors but that's about all so far

I have a few rifles and pistols and with the sliding doors I can't secure the house when I leave. I'm worried about a heavy safe because of the seemingly weak floors

It seems to me that it would be fairly easy to break into your home the way it is now, and I'm guessing that it's somewhat cost-prohibitive to do all the necessary reinforcements to your home all at once. So I think you should do two things first: Make sure that you have an early-warning system so you can be wide awake if anyone tries to get in while you're home, and also get a safe for your most valuable things when you aren't home.

The early-warning system could be a simple alarm, or it could be the dog. Or both. I have two dogs, and there's no way that someone could break into my house without alerting them.

As for the safe, what about reinforcing the floor below it? Wood and cinderblocks positioned on the ground below the floor where the safe is would almost certainly do the trick. And that way if someone broke in while you weren't home you would at least have your most important stuff protected.

Start by making someone at least have to break something to get in.

Get new latches for the windows or you might drill holes for pins to keep the windows from lifting.

Locks on the typ sliding grass doors are not very good. You could place something at the bottom to prevent the door from sliding while home.

Not really "securing" more a "converting from a soft target", but.....

Motion-activated lights all over the outside of the place. Sneaks hate being lit up.

Motion sensor alarms & hardwired ones at the windows & doors. BIG, honking HUGE sirens attached.

Reinforcing the floor from below would work and there is a place I could put the safe that would be pretty easy to get to underneath.

Lighting around the house is pretty solid

I'll look into more ways to secure the windows, I don't care if it's semi permanent as I don't plan on opening the windows

The sliding glass doors are the main problem in my opinion. I can wedge them when I'm home but when I leave I guess the best I can do is get a safe and protect my valuables

Don't forget the landscaping... nice thorny plants placed in locations where someone might like to hide will help. Otherwise, yeah- motion activated lights and maybe a multiple camera DVR surveillance system would go a long way to making your place look like a harder target.

If you're located in a location with neighbors close at hand it's also going to make your home less attractive to thieves- the probability of others being around to notice something goes way up.

Triple the number of dogs. Along with other approaches mentioned, add a camera system covering all exterior entrances. You can get a smaller safe that can be bolted to the most secure fixture which is probably your flooring. I have one which will hold over 20 handguns. Might be best to conceal it.

Obtain insurance to cover a loss and keep a copy of serial numbers in your vehicle, at work and with you if you travel other than in your vehicle.
