how to take care of my holster?

I own a leather holster and have just ordered a kydex holster. What is the proper way to care for them? What should I do daily, if anything, and what should I do after being caught in the pouring rain or sweating on it all day.

The kydex is easy, rinse it out under the faucet in the sink and dry with a paper towel.

The leather is a little more problematical. If it gets wet, you'll need to let it dry, and it wont dry out overnight, or even in a couple of days depending on how wet you get it or how bad you sweat. If you arent real active and work or live in a fairly clean, climate controlled environment, it probably wont be an issue.

My ratio for leather was generally two good holsters a year, every year. For kydex, well, 10 years for the same holster when the gun was retired, and I still have both, and both are still serviceable. Kydex pretty much lasts forever.
