How to mount low scope on Mauser 350

I recently picked up a Mauser 350 22LR. This rifle has 11mm "dovetail" slots cut in the barrel. I'm wondering what suggestions people may for mounting a scope low (to keep cheek weld) -- what mount should I use, what rings?

I have an old S&B 2x scope that I think would be perfect -- 1" tube. But this scope doesn't have alot of eye relief, so the mount would have to offer an extension that would fit over the receiver ring and at least part way over the feeding area.

Any ideas?

Yes, the receiver has the same 11mm grooves. I checked out the rings you linked to, but people said they weren't fitting correctly (in the comments).

Also, is a 3/8" dovetail the same as the 11mm? It is a couple mm off mathematically, but may still work since there is some adjustability in the design.

Leopold makes their number 54289 rings which seem similar to the 54231 rings you linked to. But one has a torx screw (which I prefer) to the slotted screw. Would either work?
