Probably. I have a Savage with birdshot in every recess in the stock plus holes drilled under the buttplate and grooves routed under the barrel. Shot in the magazine well (It is a single shot action in a generic stock with magazine well.) and in the groove routed under the barrel channel has epoxy or leftover glass bedding compound drizzled over it but with no effort to blend the glue throughtout the mass. The shot in 7/8" holes under the buttplate just has a disc of foam rubber between the shot and the buttplate.
I've got nearly 3 lbs of lead in that gun to reduce the recoil.
