When charged with ammunition, it is very difficult to twist the knob on one of these. What is a good/safe lube for the aluminum-neoprene interface?

More than one way to skin, this cat

If you can live with it, a light application clear silicone grease. There are lot of others to choose from. .....

Be Safe !!!

A little, goes a long way

A little bit goes a long way and can get a bit messy to deal with. I usually apply it with a Q-tip, ..... :)

Sorry bout dat !!!

Also one of those “little bit goes a long way” scenarios, food grade lubricant. It’s boiled chicken fat. Usually white like lithium grease, just way easier to apply to stuff, and doesn’t get all over the place.

I am still working through my last ever (I cant find replacement) can of Lubriplate out of Newark, NJ. Picked some up when I was visiting a friend in Kearny a few years back, and I can’t find the stuff anywhere now. Haven’t looked hard online yet, but I digress.

Food grade lubricant, its not too tacky or sticky, but it sticks to what you want it to stick to. Stays there, too. Shouldn’t mess with any of the metal surface finishes, even the shell casings.
