How to get custom targets printed

Oleg Volk

Staff Alumnus
I would like to bring a few dozen of large (3'x5') targets on heavy paper. Photocopiers don't enlarge that much, getting offset printing would, I imagine, require larger print run.

Any creative solutions?

Yeah find someone with a cal-comp plotter to prtint them out OR take a trip to your local blueprint printers.

Kinkos and other such outlets will now handle larger scale laser prints but be prepared to pay a BIG price for this.

I piece together 8 1/2 by 11 sheets, each with its section of the target printed on it. But I've never done anything that big.

What I have done before is draw out your target on a big piece of cardboard and cut it out to make a pattern. Then use is to spray paint on large pcs on paper. Check with your local newspaper, they sell the rems of newspaper paper.

Oleg,
You might try going to the local high school or tech school. My old HS had a printing tech class that used to do stuff like that at material cost. Good Luck.
