How to get a concealed weapons permit

Only a few months till I'm 21, I am eyeing either a glock 36 .45 ACP or an HK .45 ACP compact, depending on how much money I have. I would initially keep it in my house or car, or shoot it at the farm, but I was wondering what the requirements for a concealed weapons permit are? And I'm in Alabama in case that matters.


Also, other threads are pricing the usp at $600, but at local stores and online I see between $800-$1000. Am I looking in the wrong places or have prices gone up?

Don't know about all your CCW formalities, but might i sway you to check out Springfield's XD .45 service and tactical models, which are far superior to the foreign Glock crap.

thanks, packing.org is what i've been looking for. and those springfields look much easier on the wallet, but not as pretty as hk usp

The XD .45 is made in Croatia.

There is a very good article in the current issue of S.W.A.T. Magazine on the XD, BTW.
