Hi All,

Brand new rookie here. :o
I'm a builder and stumbled on two rifles behind the wall of a house I just bought and working on now.

one is a Winchester model 94 30-30 serial #36866XX

and the other is a RUGER 10/22 carbine .22 caliber serial # 110-737XX

Can any one please tell me, what year were those made, should I keep them or just let both go?

Thank you
Peter K.

I can help you on the winchester. Sorry I can't on the Ruger.

Depending on State Law. When you bought this house. I assume anything left behind on the premises now belongs to you. But if conscience bothers you. "I'll take them off your hands._:D <-Just kidding."-- You do what you think is best. It would be very gracious of you to offer to return both items you found. Providing the previous owner is the only capable owner of leaving these weapons behind. Why they were placed behind a wall. Who knows the reason. But both are now your in your possession what ever there scenario. Your there new owner._:)

Try Proofhouse.com. They list serial number dates for Winchester, Colt, and some others. Looks like your number is from 1972.
