I recently found an old stash of primers. they are CCI #200 white/green cover with white plastic tray, stainless colored cup...dull yellow or straw colored mixture.

I have tried a few...they work fine.

I believe someone believed his primers were RCBS because the box was green and white. I have primers I dug out that are in a green and white box. My CCI primers that are not RCBS came from the early ‘70s. I had not thought about these primers for years and could not remember why I keep them. My CCI primers that came in the white and green box got soaked with case lube many years ago. Point? I am going to seat the primers in a few cases to determine if they work. I will test them in one of my rifles with a killer firing pin.

As long as they are still in the original packaging, they should be fine. I'm using primers that were made in the mid 70's and have had no problems at all.

thanks for the replies,

I got lucky and found in my old notebook, I used these primers dec. 16, 1975

on that date, I loaded some R-P 22-250 rem. cases with 38.0 grs of IMR 4350 behind some Hornady 55 gr. soft points.

That`s the first time I started keeping track of which primer I used in a given load.

The oldest I have are CCI 350's, they are over 25 years old and still work fine. They have been stored in a temperature controlled environment.

Packaging looks like this (top right) on there side, side one against another in rows of ten.
