For me: 1/wk-10days 8 mos

By the way, if you don't need a permit to shoot a handgun where you live, the 2nd question would be:
"How long have you been shooting" etc.

I've shot my guns enough to aquire an understanding for them. A realistic self defense shooting will be with the aid of the front sight, and so I must aim a bit low to get the bullets where I want them. I know what hand grip works for my two guns and how they behave during recoil. There is not much more I can gain from going to the gun range, plus it's expensive. Instead I have to think about how to behave under an attack. The mental part is my weak part.

Me

Shoot pistols a couple times a week. Free ammo and a wide choice of guns. Rifles, free ammo and I shoot free at the County range, but so many idiots there. About once a month or so. This year will be 14 years of CCW.

GVF

Good poll:D
Its easy for me since I work part time at a gun store with a range and I have been with a CCW for 27 years now.
I have two safes full of guns, would that make me a GUN NUT ?????:o

And I have had 1662 posts,,, does that make me gun crazzzzy???

I generally shoot some every week. Not nearly as much as I used to.

Ozzieman, I think that 1,662 posts just makes you a blabber fingers.:D BTW, you need more guns. You ain't got enuff.

I try for once a week but Its more like once every other week or once a month in the summer time.
went shooting today :)
I never had a permit

I try very hard to shoot at least 200 rounds per week thru the carry gun I'm using, and I try to really mix up the shooting scenerios.

Shots from the cab of my truck, two hand unsupported @ 50 yds, Draws to the shot, holding on target for long periods of time w/ precision shot to end threat, speed reloads, weak hand only, strong hand only, On the move using weak hand to guide an "innocent" behind me, Long gun to handgun transitions, etc...

I'm sure If there are satellite photos of my property, someone surely thinks I'm preparing for the day of the Zom(edited for TFL)bies.

I shoot once per week, but also get in several week-long camping/shooting trips per year. I don't use any "formal" ranges, for I go out to remote spots in the So Cal desert. The air is cleaner!

I've had my CCW permit for 36 years, but it's in the form of a police I.D. card (now retired). I actually started CCW'ing when I was 19 and in combat. I carried a S&W model 14 revolver that was privately owned, and not "kosher". My XO didn't mind if we carried privately owned firearms, but didn't want to SEE them.

Not as often as I should; about once a month when I go. Lately it's been months; too busy. When I do go, I still shoot well though. Going this weekend, and plan to go a few times over Christmas. Had permit 5 years.

I usually try to shoot once a week, depending on cash I have available. Only permit I have/need is my CCDW, and I've had that almost a year now.

I shoot as often as possible, to maintain my training and because its a gosh awful lot of fun! Just got my permit last July.

Shoot more

What ever your answer, shoot more. It is fun
I shoot every chance I get. When working, that is every morning before class.Try to get in 100 rounds or so, then after, I try to get in a few more, a full day is around 300 rounds, I get to write them off so expensive yes but it is fun....said that already.
Permit...hmm, I could get one ....but then I would have spent money that I could have spent on ammo...I teach people to carry guns, but as to permit..I have usually only carried a gun for money( with the proper permit) and at this point in my life I have thought that if I came across a bad guy maybe I could just borrow his gun......("but your Honor, I was in fear for my Life!....he brought a gun..) I know that goes against the party line. But the truth is I've looked for the badguy all of my life without a permit....and it seems to me he has avoided finding me, I hope that trend continues...for his sake....("yes your honor I shot him 16 times, but the gun just kept working...") still I think everyone should have a permit. But I dont carry my gun anymore, unless your paying me....crazyee huh?

Shoot trap at least once a week and do the same with handguns at an indoor range. Generally shoot 4 rounds or 25 at trap and at least 100 rounds at the range.

No permit required but have had a concealed carry permit for about a year.

i shoot whenever the opportunity presents itself. i cant afford shooting every week or even every month for that matter. i got my permit in may and while i wish i could shoot more often it is just far too expensive.

I shoot once a month. I can't afford to shoot more. I've had my permit since a month after turning 21, so 5.5 years.

Edit: This is shooting with my CCW. I'm infantry, so I go periods where I'm shooting a lot more than that, but on a range with an M16 isn't quite the same.

Shoot 2-3 times a week. Any less and I start to go into withdrawal.

I've had my concealed carry permit less than a year, because my state has only had carry permits for less than a year.

I'm a usually 2-3 times a week shooter. I've had my carry permit (this time) less than 1 year. But I've had my carry permit before and let it lapse. At that time I was open carrying a lot anyway or just vehicle carrying (openly) the weapon and didn't see the need to renew my permit. Also before this year I was a once a month or every other month shooter. Joined a range this year and have been getting my money's worth out of my membership. Also had to start reloading to support my habit. :)

My frequency of shooting depends on the time of year, since I belong to a gun club with an outdoor range. When the highs are in the 40s or colder, it is more difficult for me to get motivated to get out there.

If the weather is too bad for too long, I do occasionally break down and pay the $15 for an indoor range session. Of course I do practice in cold weather occasionally just to cover all the bases, but it's not much fun.

I've had my permit for less than two years. I usually carry everywhere I legally can.
