How often do you clean your mags and pistol during a IPSC match?

Hello, it's me again asking for some advice. I live in Asuncion, Paraguay (south america) and our club is located in an area with plenty of fine dust and sand. No matter what you do, if the wind blows you get some into the gun, and of course every time you drop a mag on the dirt. Do you use the "bore snake" or something else to clean fast? What about mags? Oh, I forgot, I shoot lead bullets, so I'm getting a larger amount of residue on the gun. Thanks in advance!!
 
If it's really dusty/sandy keep a dust cover on your gun between stages, or better yet, keep it bagged if you can. At the least, stuff a bandana in the mag well to keep the grit from getting inside the gun. Clean the mags you've used after every stage.
 
I usually don't have to clean mags, but if i do, i use a mag cleaner by Kleen bore, called a magazine swab. usually costs around $5
 
I've found that liberal use of BreakFree CLP seems to help keep my guns running, but for my mags I use a 'mag brush'.
