How much to ask

Ive used gunsamerica as a guide to current asking prices with good results

What are you looking to sell... Im always in the market for something new:D

A lot will depend on what they are and where you live, but closed auctions on GB, selling prices on gunsinternational.com is also a good source

On standard production guns....the internet will give you some guidelines / because the values don't vary too much...

On older guns / or models that aren't in production any more - like the older S&W revolvers - local knowledgeable shops ( not the big box stores ) are your best comparison / prices just vary too much region to region in the country on some of the older guns.

i feeel that gunbroker is almost always too high, armslist can give you a decent idea but prices will be all over, gunsamerica is okay,, but i would just charge what buds is charging - 15% if used

If you use gunbroker, use the advanced search feature to search for completed auctions. It will show you what a gun was actually sold for and it will also show the guns that are priced too high and get no bids. Blue book is also a good source as mentioned previously.

What you "feeel" is irrelevant.

Now we are getting somewhere.
If you can see what several examples of the gun have actually sold for, you have an idea of fair market value.
Start there.

Went to gun show with one gun .
Traded out came home with 3 new guns not a bad day .
I'm happy .
thanks for all the help.

Definitely check gunbroker sold item prices. Good luck at the gun show! I've mostly stopped going to gun shows to buy stuff, the markup at local shows here is absurd. The last time I wanted to haggle for a gun at a local show the guy was so set on his ridiculous price, I actually pulled out my phone and showed him he was asking way more than the same guns on gunbroker!!
