How much should I be paying for a Ruger .22 22/45?

I want a Ruger .22 for my girlfriend (OK, so I love them as well, so what? I'm man enough to admit shooting .22's are just fun!)

So I want a 22/45. How much should I be paying for it? The one with the bull barrel. How well does the polymer hold up???

I see it for $209 usually, is this a good price or not? Also, can I do a trigger job on it? If so, where?

Thanks!

You should have no problems with the polymer frame for the life of the 22/45. As far as prices go, I've seen them for as low as $179 on sale for the 5 1/2" blued at one store. Last gun show I went to had them for $219 and of course, I ended up paying about $230 for one because I didn't really shop around.

Ooops, forgot to add that you should check out On Target's website for accessories for the 22/45: http://www.ontargetguns.com/mark.html

I think that is about what I paid for the stainless version. Not blued. I have had it 2 years now. Haven't had any problems. I too had questions on the polymer frame, but it seems to be holding up quite well.

Buddy of mine bought his for $180. Blued model, 5.5" bull barrel, adjustable sights. Store was Shyda's Gun Shop in Lebanon, PA.
