a Colt Python four inch nickel plated and a Walther PPK which I recently inherited from the estate of my wife's father. It also included a Winchester shotgun, and a folding stock Ruger mini 14. He also had a couple of Smith & Wesson 9mm's. He was a retired Florida State Trooper. I would appreciate your feedback as to the price of the Python and Walther PPK.

Thanks.

Go to some of the auction sites (Gunbroker, Auction Arms). Do a search of the guns you have. You can see similar guns and what they sell for. Some of the sites will show you history also.
Good luck.

Python

I would guess the python would fetch $1500 if it's in 98-100% condition beside gunbrokers check cabelas gun library

If you're going to the auction sites, check the CLOSED auctions to see ACTUAL selling prices, not what someone hopes to get - that will be more realistic

mini-14

also check to see if the ruger is a factory folding stock and pre-ban if it is a factory pre-ban folding stock it's value will be higher there are alot of states like NY where pre-ban would be more valuable if you put it on gunbrokers it will be gone in a day you can go to rugers website and check the serial # for the mini it will tell you the manufacture date

Gun prices

Check your Library to see if they have the Blue Book of Gun Values. That is a good place to start, as that is what alot of Dealers use. If not, you can E-mail me at iamde3@yahoo.com with the model #'s and info on the guns and I will look them up for you.

The revolver has no resale value what-so-ever. They were over hyped and over priced and no one really enjoyed them. As such, PM me and I'll give you my mailing address and take it off of your hands. :D

Seriously, Look at the closed (or completed) auctions on gunbroker.com like Oneounceload mentioned. I could ask $3000.00 for the pistol, but if no one bought it, it obviously was not worth it.

If at all possible, post a picture and the first three numbers of the serial number. You could have a really beautiful gun, or you could have a paperweight. These guys here have helped identify so many types of guns and found values for them for a lot of folks.

Also, if you are going to shoot it, please do not just sell it to the first guy who offers you $300.00 for it. It could be worth more if you are willing to do a little bit of work.
