One thing to keep in mind.
Remington Police guns get "scalped" by dealers a LOT.
This is due to the Police model being a little more difficult for most dealers to get, and some of them take advantage.
Often, a dealer won't discount one at all, charging full list price.
My advise is, shop around and get some other dealer's to price one for you.
The gun I bought in 2003 for $350.00 was discounted some by my local dealer.
One option is to watch Shotgun News for wholesaler's who sell Police guns, and have a local dealer do an cost-plus order for you.
That way, you KNOW what the actual "street price" is, and you can avoid being scalped.
Like most things, you get a better deal when you know what the DEALER is paying for something.
If he's paying $350 for a gun and charging you $500, you might go somewhere else.
