How much did mags used to cost?

5 years ago I was buying NIW USGI m16/AR mags for $8 or $9 each at gunshows in CA. New 1022 50 round mags from Ramline for $18.

In the early 90's I was buying used USGI M14 mags for well under $10 each and purchased new Chinese M14 mags from Sarco for $8 each.

Wish I'd of bought more, but you know what they say about hindsight.

Assuming you're getting at the effect of the 'ban' on civilian full capacity mag's, you might want to take a look at prices on 'LEO' full capacity mag's. Quite a difference.

If you want another shock, take a look at the price for an M-16 for a civilian, versus the price LEO's pay for the same rifle. As I recall, the M-16 can be had for around $5,500 ... someone help me here, but seems that I heard LEO's pay something like $800 for an M-16, no? (I'm talking about LEO departments here, not individual officers.)

The law of supply and demand still seems to work. ;)

'Course, we're all safer now, right? ;)
