Just wornding how many rounds went threw your handgun this weekend. Me and my son went threw about 200 out of my S&W modle 41 with not the first hicup.:)

100

Glock 17L

I did something at the range I am not proud of in retrospect.

I was firing at bull’s-eye targets at 25 feet and 50 feet. There was a guy next to me who had a target fairly close firing a Glock 17. He had a 24 inch sheet of paper with 5 fluorescent orange and fluorescent green cross-hair type targets on it. He could hit the targets for ****! He was making these 8” shot groups from like fairly close. I thought he was firing at 15’ so I moved my next set of targets out to 15 feet – but it turned out to be 5 feet behind his targets and I put 5 rounds into a 1” circle on both targets. I moved my next set of targets exactly equal with his at 10 feet and put 2 ragged holes in the bull’s-eye – not including the paper tear, the ten round shot groups were probably less than ½” across.

This guy was creating five round shot groups that were 8” across from 10 feet away. But in retrospect, I don’t know why I did that, I don’t know that guy’s story, maybe he has arthritis, or tremors, or maybe he is new to shooting. I feel bad about it now…

I thought you were going to say you shot his target at the same time he did so he thought he hit the center. Heehee. Not that crosslane shooting is ever ok!

But it would have been funny.

I put 60 through my SR9c with about 35-40 failures :(

That's worse than 1 failure for every 2 rounds for the SR9C

OMG that makes your SR9C less than the equiviant of a 2 shot Derringer...

Had a nice little range session 350 rounds in 5 different 38 spl's. Will soon be firing up the tumbler so I can restock my ammo can. Fun,fun and more fun.

Zero.
But I did hand over 198 reloads to my young friend before we started spending hours of quality time on his 1954 Deuce and a half......

70, the usual Magtech 124gr FMJ, through my PX4. This weekend, though, I'll be bringing the 92FS along with the PX4, and it's likely that some 150 will be shot.

I shoot about 100 rounds through my revolvers once a month. If I happen to see someone having trouble hitting the target I often offer to help them with getting on target. One day that guy might need to help me out and I need all the friends I can get anyway.

400 through my sig and 50 through my BDA-9 on friday and sunday. With 50 through a rented HK USP 9 on friday and 50 through a rented 92fs on sunday. My giant pile of ammo is now a few lonely boxes! :D

Not this weekend but this morning. 50 rounds 38 special +P+, & 125 rounds of assorted .357 Magnum. My 60 + year old right shoulder is still a little sore as I type this.

None this weekend, last tuesday was my range day.
100 thru the 357 snubby
a little over 300 thru the MKII and Contender 22LR
50 thru the .223 Contender
20 thru the 357 max Contender plus a handful of 357 mag that I couldn't remember what they were loaded with or if they were revolver safe.

I put about 100 rds of .22 thru a model 18 revoler ....as a warmup ( K frame) in a 4".

Then I went to other guns (K frames) all in .357 mag - 300 rds or so thru a pair of S&W revolvers...model 19's and 66's - all 4" as well .....
-----------
and then 100 rds thru a model 686 ( L frame) and a model 27 (N frame) - both in 6" .....
-----------
Then went back to the model 19 K frame for another 100 rds...

on Sunday.....just because I can / and Drawing from a holster ...having some fun ..../ practicing some reloads ( and I'm still slow at it ) ....but it was a good afternoon. How can a few hours at the range not be fun ....???

Last weekend I put 200 rounds each through both my PT-92 and S&W Sigma 9 (very nice weather, about twenty degrees above normal for this time of the year, so it was a must).

-Cheers
