Glock 17L
I did something at the range I am not proud of in retrospect.
I was firing at bull’s-eye targets at 25 feet and 50 feet. There was a guy next to me who had a target fairly close firing a Glock 17. He had a 24 inch sheet of paper with 5 fluorescent orange and fluorescent green cross-hair type targets on it. He could hit the targets for ****! He was making these 8” shot groups from like fairly close. I thought he was firing at 15’ so I moved my next set of targets out to 15 feet – but it turned out to be 5 feet behind his targets and I put 5 rounds into a 1” circle on both targets. I moved my next set of targets exactly equal with his at 10 feet and put 2 ragged holes in the bull’s-eye – not including the paper tear, the ten round shot groups were probably less than ½” across.
This guy was creating five round shot groups that were 8” across from 10 feet away. But in retrospect, I don’t know why I did that, I don’t know that guy’s story, maybe he has arthritis, or tremors, or maybe he is new to shooting. I feel bad about it now…
