I think I always heard them called 'deuce and half's'. Place in florida had several for like $1300. Was saving to get one...money in pocket and I go by the place and everything is gone...place leveled. ~sigh~ Guy also had a German officers car from WW2...heavy steel body and frame....30-06 might punch thru it. But it would need a new engine and all...not worth the time, effort and expense [[plus GAS]] to redo in my book. I'm interested in one myself. So keep me in mind too. :)
 
Looks like a 5-ton to me. I'd hate to have to feed that thing. Tires are nasty bias ply stuff that flat spots after about 5 hours of sitting, just like HMMWV tires.

I thought this would be the stuff members here would like.

Destructo as to the tires going flat in spots thats what the hydralic chassis lift is for when you park it in the garage :p I guess I will have to add on to the house! Might as well make a reloading room while Im at it. Come to think of it this project might get a little expensive?

It wont sit very long as this would be my intown driver, the store and gym are very close. :) I get nine to the gallon already in my itty bitty 3/4 ton truck, whats a little more petrol and besides diesel is a little cheaper.

Santanta sorry you had no luck with those in florida. No this is a 5 ton six wheel drive. I say a convoy of them driving south on the I15 Towards San Diego, and it was love at first sight, especially that front bumper. You could pull up to some anti driving a small compact car and shade them with the bumper! Oh to dream. I would have to put some stuff on back to piss off the environmentalists and soccer moms :D

BTW Found operator manual for 20 bucks :) and two volume shop manual for 150 :(
