How many layers of 1/2" thick plywood will a 22 short aguila super extra penetrate?

Trying to make a wood portable backstop. How many pieces of 1/2 inch thick plywood will a 22 short penetrate out of a 20" rifle barrel at ~10-15 yards?

Might be best to go out and determine it for yourself and then add a few more safety sheets of plywood.

I would recommend using a commercially-made steel bullet trap. Most of them are plenty strong enough to withstand .22 Shorts, and you won't have to worry about eventually boring all the way through the plywood, or (perhaps more significantly) bullets ricocheting off built-up lumps of lead embedded in the plywood, or off the screws or nails you used to assemble it.
