how many CG owners do we have here...

tell me what you like about your gun(s). Trying to figure out the allure of the CG line. I do know they have the best customer service of any make. But then, so does Hyundai with their 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty. Why else would you buy one! CG appears to be trying to fill a void between the B-guns and the upper echelon K and P- guns.

Anyway, let's see why CG owners appreciate their guns...

I've had a Summit Sporting for about two years, and have put about 5000 rounds through it - skeet and sporting clays. Remarkably, the gun shows no sign of wear. It's truly a fine piece of craftsmanship considering the reasonable price. I'm looking at a Summit Impact or a Blaser as an upgrade, but will probably never sell the Sporting.

I own a tempio field model which I have owned for several years now. I also own several winchesters o/u, semis and brownings. The quality of workmanship is far superior with a Guerini, the fit and finish is perfect on them. The Guerini is balanced much better than any browning you will ever find which makes shooting the gun that much easier and more enjoyable. Even without a recoil pad on it, I havent noticed any recoil issues from shooting a 100 rounds of sporting clays or heavy field loads at pheasants. Its lighter weight than any of my other guns so when I do bring it to shoot sporting clays my wife loves shooting it.

Only experience with customer service, I did have a question once and emailed them with it. Within 4 hours I had a response to my question that was a comprehensive answer to the question and also a phone number and and actual name of someone at the company I could call if I had further questions. Never had that with any other company. It also have about the nicest piece of wood you will ever see on a gun too.

From a cost to value standpoint I think a guerini is money well spent.

I've had a Woodlander for about 8 years. It's a 28 ga. with 28" barrels. The 12 ga. Express has a 28" barrel too.

I've been thinking about retiring soon and getting a 12 ga. Summit Limited for clays. Friday I was on the road and stopped by a favorite gun store. Bad move. I handled a new 28 ga. Summit Limited with 32" barrels and it somehow fits me better than the Woodlander (which has never been a problem.) I think I'm going back and see if the owner will come off the $3800 price a little. He's been good to me before.

I know, I'll retire and get a 12 and a 28. I know, I know, I could put a pad on the Woodlander and bang away, but what fun it that.

Citoris don't fit me. Some, okay most, Berettas do.

edited to add: I called CG in MD when the gun was new to see about converting the ejectors to extractors. The woman who answered said she would have someone call me back as soon as he finished with a customer. We've all heard that line before, right? Within an hour the president of CGUSA called me and offered to walk me through the process for converting it.
