How many carry in multiple conditions?

Reading the thread about Crossdraw carry got me thinking, I have several different guns I carry and several different holsters I carry with depending on the weather and my dress. Most responses to "where to carry" are usually absolute answers "I always carry a _________ at 3:30 in a _____ holster"

For instance if I'm wearing sweats and a T-shirt I'll usually have a M&P compact at 1:00 in a cheapo clip on leather holster. If I'm wearing jeans and a heavier/thicker shirt I'll have a XD or PX4 at 3:00 in a sturdier holster with belt loops. With a coat I'll usually carry one of my full framed guns OWB at 3:00. I've practiced both draws and am familiar with the different nuances of clearing any extra clothing and getting a full combat grip and a drawstroke that immediately gets the bad guy looking down the barrel.

Anyone else carry multiple guns in multiple locations? Other than having to remember two sets of techniques to draw am I overlooking any disadvantages? I know some probably do have different guns they carry in summer or winter... I guess I'm thinking more along the lines of every day might be different.

Consistancy is the key, I carry one place, one guy ALWAYS, Winter-Summer-Casual -Formal.

Training and practice creates consistancy. In stress you result back to your training and practice.

I dont want a dozzen differant senarios for my old tired mind has to go through in a panic situations.

+1 'kraigwy". Consistency. "Am I wearing the crossdraw or IWB strongside?" "Am I carrying the Colt Defender or the Keltec P-11?"

Circumstances, at times, may mandate carrying several different weapons in several different types of holsters. However, you should really develop one carry that you use most of the time.

I have the option of carrying a Steyr S40 (preferred and main piece 95% of the time), a Bersa Thunder 380, a Keltec PF-9, and a Taurus 85UL. The Keltec and Taurus can be carried OWB strong side or in-pocket. The Bersa and Steyr are OWB strong side only. I'm a big guy and IWB is uncomfortable. I'm intimately familiar with the operation of each piece (a couple thousand rounds through each) and stay VERY aware of where it is on my body. I carry all pieces OWB, strong side 95% of the time.

Whatever and wherever you carry, become 150% totally familiar with it and the holster it is in - so you don't have to think about what you have on.

I have a bad back, so when it is acting up, I switch to a shoulder holster to get the belt off, which eases the pain a bit. Other wise I wear my holster in the same spot it's been for years.

I have three main carry guns; a SA 1911, a S&W Airweight and a Ruger LCP (I also occasionally carry a Glock 22 but its fairly infrequent.)

The LCP is a wild card, I usually pocket carry but started carrying it OWB in a Desantis holster depending on mood and dress. The 1911, Airweight and Glock are always carried OWB in a Galco Fletch holster at the 8 o'clock position. When the LCP is carried OWB it's in the 8 o'clock position as well.

I don't have an issue with carrying different guns, but I do have an issue with carrying various places. My thinking may be wrong on carrying the same gun all the time but I believe in the carrying in the same place all the time.
