How long to get a new Glock 43

I ordered a new Glock 43 for my wife over 6 weeks ago. Apparently Glock can't keep up with the demand. Anyone else have one on order for some time?

Ordered mine through a place that sells at almost cost of the gun. I was told it could be a week or three months before I get it, considering I was #27 out of 54 orders for it. Got it in about 6-7 weeks though, told me basically the same thing, they only get what glock can send out so they never know when it'll be

Right at or close to the public release date, I put my name on a LGS's blue label list for one with night sights. I think it was about 2 weeks before I got the call it had come in with several others.

I saw them at Academy Sports, Gander Mountain and another LGS here in my area so there is no wait here in my part of Texas.

PSA had them on a special a few weeks ago, shipped the next day, I love my G 42 and Sig P 938 (and P 238, Kimber Micro) but have been unimpressed with the G 43.

It depends on your lgs. Some stores only get shipments every few months while others get them more often. Glock 43 is easy to find and not sold out but if you store doesnt have one it could be months. And sometimes when they get their orders they may only have one or none of a certain model

IBmikey,

Why are you unimpressed by your G43? How long have you had it? How much have you shot it? Did you shoot it before you bought it?

My local gun store gets them in every few weeks and they sell out just as fast. I would like to add one to the collection but will wait until the newness wears off. I did see one in a local pawn shot new but dont recall the price.

I own both the G43 and the SIG P938 -

In comparison to the SIG P938, the only advantage to the Glock is that it costs less.

The SIG has a better trigger, is smaller, has less felt recoil, and better sights.

They are common here in TX. Stores and gun shows have them. Glock says their most popular models are the 19, 43 and 42. There was thought that the 42 sales would drop with the 43 release but they increased.

M929---- By "unimpressed" I mean the general shooting charisterics of the weapon as compared to my slightly smaller Sig P 938 which I have found to be an excellent shooter. When firing the G 43 I have discovered an uncomfortable grip (the g 42 is easy to hold) slight stunning of hand upon firing, does not point naturally but is still reasonably accurate. For it's size I could probably carry my G 19 with little more chance of exposure. I love my G 42 which has none of the above negatives and all of the positives discussed above.

I would go g42 as well if I was set on a small glock. Its cheaper, smaller, and shoots a lot better. Its just much easier to aim/control and that much easier to conceal. I guess the only reason to go g43 is that you want to stick to 9mm but I think there are better 9mm options out there like the shield if you are set on 9mm.
