How long after cleaning before shooting again?

Hi. I have a saftey question. I cleaned my gun this morning and might go out shooting today. Is that too soon? Is there any anger in shooting it that soon? Thanks.

It's not a problem. Most benchrest shooters clean often, sometimes between each shot. Just run a dry patch to swab out the oil.

The only time SAFETY is at odds with cleaning is if you take the gun apart and don't properly reassemble it, or if you leave anything in the bore that might obstruct it, including goop, oil, patches, cleaning tip, rod, etc etc etc.

Many people hardly clean their guns... not really a SAFETY issue so much.
