I stopped off today at my local gun shop to see if they had any new baubles to drool over and lo and behold..........there it was, in all it's glory.
A Ruger New Model Bisley Super Blackhawk .44 magnum 7 ½ barrel, in pristine blue, looking as if it had never been fired. A single action revolver design that fits my mutant sized hand like a glove and all for $399.99.
I always wanted a long barrel magnum and it will make a perfect pig hunting revolver, once I get my schedule worked out and actualy go after some Boar
The barrel has really crisp rifling and is almost mirror perfect, but for the slightest little bit of surface rust inside the muzzle end of the barrel. This cleaned up with a pass of a bronze brush and some Bore Shine, and like I said, the bluing was perfect; the gun really looks like it had never been fired
Sorry, but I just had to crow for a bit, 25% down and a 60 days from now, it's mine.....
