How good are EAA / Tangfolio witness pistols?

Just a curiosity mainly, still looking for a new toy... I've heard both good and bad about this pistol and really would like to hear from someone with a witness compact in a .45. I am always looking for new toys and this one looks like alot of bang for the buck. Thanks guys.

I have a compact 45 and it has been flawless with fmj and jhp,but not with my swc. It's accurate and was a good deal in my opinion for 359.00.My elite stock is much nicer, but also a lot more expensive.

Reed's ammo is a great place for witness'.The only thing I don't like is that it has a good bit of primer swipe and slings the brass about twenty feet.I have tried to get reliable info on what recoil spring to use,but wolffe and eaa were about useless.I've ordered a few different ones and will experiment.

I love 1911's,but my cz's and witness' are the only ones I have been truly able to trust.

They are quite good. Down side is availability of accessories. Holsters, grips, sights, etc are tough to find. Big plus is their conversion kits. Buy a .45 or 10mm and you can buy slide/mag kits for .22, .308, .357Sig, 9mm, .40SW, .45 ACP, and 10mm.

I had an older 9mm from before they switched all their full size pistols to the same frame. It was comfortable and accurate but had extraction problems and would stovepipe 1 of every 20 rounds. Apperently this was pretty common.

In my assessment this was mainly due to the heavy mainspring and recoil springs and 115 grain 9mm rounds. It seemed to work better with heavier loads but if I couldn't trust it with range ammo I had a hard time trusting it, period.

Mine is a Witness .45 never had a problem with it, shoot everything. And hands down one of the favorite guns at the range. The owners are always bring a member over to look at it and ask if it's ok if they give it a go. Same response all the time feels great in the hand, nice balance and the recoil is'nt that bad and super accurate. The gun weighs in at 33oz. I love it. Got mine a reedsammo for 345.99 + 20 shipping+15 transfer fee 380.00 in my hands is okay for me. Go to CZfourms.com and scoll down to the clone section alot of very good info there on the Wittness.

I can't comment personally on the compact, however, I love my full size Tanfoglio Witness Silver Team in .45. It is a target gun, so it does not see any carry or heavy usage, but it is a great gun:)

EAA, can't go wrong.

I have a number of EAA's. Multi calibers. You just cant go wrong. Not only
reliable but priced for the working man. I have compacts, full size and match grade units. I also have brownings and colts, but i carry the EAA.

I have a Witness 10mm(fullsize) in "WONDER" finish and, as much as I hate this phrase. It is definately a good gun for the money

In fact I'd go as far to say it is better than all guns at this price point, and most ,at a price point 2-3x more.
