How far off is this?

I saw a classified ad in the local paper. A 6" Colt King Cobra described as "collectible". Price was $850.00. I would want a Lowes gift card with that deal.
 
Everyone is going crazy with the Colt.A gun shop I went into last year had MK3 was VERY NICE BUT $600 had a S&W model 29 that was even better $1200 just shook my head and left,haven't been backsince :barf:
 
It depends on what they mean "collectible".

A standard King Cobra would be wildly over-priced at that price, but there ARE limited production Custom Shop King Cobras worth that and more.

Yes they are collectable, if your collecting Colt King Cobra's.
400 to 500 tops, any more and it better be from some custom shop or engraved.
And a 6 inch is less than a 4, harder to sell.
These are scam artest or Stupid asking that price.
 
King Cobra is hardly a collectible. Its a nice peice given, but not $800 worth.

Brand new wasn't that much if I recall. Save your money and find a better priced one.
 
I think I paid less than half of that in 89 when I got my King Cobra. It was a nice gun but I prefer wheels thatr spin the other way now.
