how do you mount a sling to a Mossberg 590A1?

When I bought my 590A1, I had to have swivels installed. One on the buttstock and one behind the bayonet lug. Guess they're not US issue.

Regards.

Really? Both of mine had a stud in the buttstock, and a little stubby stud to screw into the magazine tube cap was included. It turned out the thread in the hole in the bayonet lug is the same, so that's where I put the fore stud. Can't mount the bayonet now, but I'll live.

bayonet on a 14"?

Unless it's a breaching tool I wouldn't want a bayonet on the front of a barrel that short. IMO if it's reached the point of "fix bayonets" either you've used up all your ammo in an unwise manner, or there are/were too many BGs to engage in the first place. Should've E&E'd.

Not a flame just my take on bayonets.

My 590A1 (the 20 inch barrel version with GR) had the small stud taped to the inside of the box. Screw the stud in, and the sling should attach easily.
