How do you know if a barrel is chrome lined?

I recently bought an AR that was said to have a chrome lined barrel. The bore is dark colored,not as white and shiny as I would expect.
 
Check the barrel stamps for a chrome stamp, also you can check the muzzle for a light gray color that didn't take the parkerizing.
