How do you disassemble your Ruger 10/22? Does it look like this?

So I'm working on a series of instructionals for firearms disassembly, and trying to make mine more interesting than every other vid out there by including some history and interesting information:

Pass/Fail??? Seriously, what do you guys think? Looking for tough criticism here, don't hold back on details, what part of this video kind ticked you off? What blatant firearms rule did I break? Video quality good enough to see the details?

You talk a bit fast. Folks not familiar with the 10/22 might not be able to understand what you are saying.
You took up about 4 min. before even getting into the dissassembly.
Personally, I have to ask: Why?
I do a cleaning and lube without taking assembly out of stock about once a decade. Shoots well, never a problem. And my 10/22 is shot quite a bit.

Good work and I thank you !!

Okay, the first part was loaded with information that really has noting to do with it's disassembly, although I did find it informative. Perhaps you could put this on another video. Also could have mentioned muzzle control.

On the Carbines, I remove the barrel band first before I remove the take down screw.

You refered to the Bolt-Stop as the buffer which is incorrect for what you took out, was actually the Bolt-Stop. Now, if someone was refering to a manual, it could be a little confusing. You did mention the buffer as an after market part and that was fine.

You also used a screw driver for driving out the pins and Bolt-Stop. I would have prefered you showed a brass punch. I use a 1/8" brass rod mounted into an old screw driver handle.

Other than that, I found it informative and useful.. ....

I truly appreciate that you did not drop the F.....Bomb on us like to many others have done ....... :)

Be Safe !!!
