How do the Stoegers hold up?

I bought a Stoeger SXS Coach gun a couple of years ago and have fired a total of maybe 20 rounds through it.(Very generous estimate, actual number is prob closer to 10). I know these are popular with the CA shooters because of their low price and availability. Any observations on how they are holding up? I like mine, and would like to shoot it more often, maybe even try some black powder loads in it, or even run it through a round of sporting clays. I figure I can miss as many with it as I do my 870 ;)

I've fired maybe a couple hundred rounds through mine with no problems. Mainly used 7 1/2 but have fired 00 buck through it also. Have also lit off both barrels at once w/ 00 buck. If you do that, hang on it as it gets to be a rough ride and something you probably won't want to repeat on a regular basis, though it is fun. :)

Howdy,

I have shot probably 800 rounds through my Stoeger Coach gun,and I've never had a problem. They are solid, reliable guns that are quite popular with cowboy shooters. As far as sporting clays goes,so far I've stuck with my 1100,but the sporting clays guys at my gun club are going to add a "Cowboy Clays" class,to encourage us to shoot our doubles at their shoots.

Thanks guys! I wondered how the Stoegers were holding up to the rigors of CAS. I guess I can feel comfortable shooting it a lot more often.
