How do the new Marlins with deep rifling shoot?

The Marlin 1894 in .357 and .44 now come with "Ballard" rifling, conventional rifling with deep grooves, instead of the shallow Micro-Groove rifling Marlin has featured for decades. The micro-groove design doesn't handle case bullets well, so the new rifling is intended to facilitate using cast bullets in Cowboy Action shooting, etc.

Has anyone tried one with lead bullets? It would be great to be able to shoot wadcutter loads or semi-wadcutter small group loads as accurately as the jacketed bullet loads.
