Aussie, B-Square makes a no-gunsimthing mount that clamps to the barrel and uses the rear sight recess to hold it. I don't recommend this for the .44. I had one on a Model 29 several years ago and it didn't last very long shooting hunting loads. I recommend you have the pistol drilled and tapped and mount a rail on the top strap. That's the most secure method I know of. George
