How do gunmakers preserve their weapons from corrosion

Gentlemen

does anyone know what the well known firearm makers like Benelli. Winchester etc. use for anti- rust and corrosion prevention for their weapons. Whatever it is, it lasts a long, long, time since some of their guns sit on store and distributor shelves for months and months??
