How did I do?

I bought an unfired NIB nickeled Desert Eagle Mark XIX 50AE, a Leupold Gilmore Red Dot, 5mags (2 blue/3 nickel) and 6 boxes of factory ammo for $1250. Was this a good price?

Bought mine (50 A.E. also) around 1 1/2 - 2 years ago used for almost $1200 (that includes tax). Mine is the standard color (black). It came with 3 factory magazines, two boxes of factory ammo (40 rounds total) and Hogue finger groove grips. Bought a 44 Magnum barrel/magazines for it also. I'd say you got a real good deal! I've seen some Mark VII's 44 Magnums at a gun shop I go to on occassion go for more than what you paid for your XIX 50 A.E..

A little advice. You might want to get a tuneup kit (has springs and other things in it), and some additional magazine springs from Magnum Research. If you don't have a manual, or the 5 in 1 tool (L shaped thing) you'll definetly need those two items. Keep it clean and you'll do fine.

The only thing I see wrong in your post is that I didn't see this deal before you did.

IMtheNRA,

I don't have a digital camera. I'll be borrowing one in a couple of weeks for an event, and I'll take pictures then. In the meantime, if you go to:

http://www.magnumresearch.com

choose "Firearms and Accessories", "Desert Eagle", and then "Scopes and Mounting hardware", at middle of the page there's a picture of a XIX with the LG-35 set up improperly with 2 rings. (did you read the thread I referenced in my previous answer?)

To insure that the LG series is not damaged using ANY .44 or larger gun (not just DE's, Rugers, and Casulls), Leupold now ''advises" that "3 or 4" rings" are necessary. For that, a B-Square scope rail and 2 more Leupold Gilmore rings are required. Minimally, that'll set you back $105.
