I'm at my parents in Pennsylvania right now. My Mom is supposed to go in to the hospital on Tuesday to have a mastectomy to deal with a cancerous mass that they found.

Right now it looks like it is "in situ," which means that it hasn't broken out into the rest of the body, but who knows. We'll find that out on Tuesday.

I'd appreciate it if you all could send some of your "good vibes" my Mother's way.

Mike, that my thoughts, wishes and prayers are with you and your Mum goes without saying.

My sister-in-law had a similar operation not 8 months ago (lumpectomy/partial mastectomy).

Apart from still getting tired early at night, she's never been healthier or happier than she is now.

Mrs Irwin, with the love and support of your family -- and even strangers who simply care -- you just make sure you believe you're going to be all right and you will be.
