HOT SHOT 223 REM ammo

I took a quick trip on Google and found that some of Hotshot ammo is manufactured be A-merc.

They are well known for the quality of their ammo...and not in a good way.,...

Some of it is manufactured by Century arms, which is better regarded for quality.

Seems Hot Shot is mostly a repackager/reseller of other manufacturer's ammo - If you care about the quality of the brass, I would definitely try to find out who manufactures it for them. A-Merc brass has a terrible reputation among reloaders; if they are still supplying the .223 brass (and it's very possible they are headstamping it Hot Shot rather than A-Merc if they're a major client) I would avoid it

I just run 10 HOT SHOT 223 cases through my press, the primers came out and new primers were seated and cases sized with no problem Primers were not crimped and the flash hole size was no problem. I checked the length and they are 1.757 to 1.759 so I am not going to trim them. I'll recheck the length after I load and fire them. They seem fine to reload, but I will know for sure after reloading and firing them and check the cases again.
Still have no idea who makes these cases.

I had a chance to shoot the 10 rounds that I loaded in the Hot Shot brass and it shot every bit as good as LC or any other brasss I have reloaded. The only thing I had to do was chamfer the case mouths to load flat base bullets.
