Hornady's Critical Defense Ammo

Just saw a little info on the new Critical Defense Ammo Hornady is bringing out.

Wanted to see what you guys thought of it.

It has some sort of material inside the hollowpoints that keep them from being clogged by thick clothes.

Not sure if I'll switch from my Taps, but i'll probably buy a few boxes to check out.

Probably some sort of soft-solid plug, like silicone sealant or elastomeric substance, that transmits "fluid" pressure to the inner walls of the "hollowpoint" cavity.

Sounds about right, read the article about it and they used similar terms to describe it

I'd be more interested is it was offered with heavier bullets. I like 124-127grn in 9mm and 125-158grn in .38 Special. Now, if the LeverEvolution handgun ammo performs similarly, I may be interested for my .357 and .44 Magnums.

I just received two boxes from MidwayUSA. They were the only retailer that I could find that had them is stock and now they are out of stock already. I hope to shoot some through my LCP this weekend.
