I have loaded some of these for my Kimber Custom II stainless 1911 which, I use in Wilson Combat 47d magazines and it seems some of the rounds fail to come up the mag so they can be pushed into the chamber. I've read somewhere, that the 1911's feed better with fmj ammo has anyone else had luck with these bullets and a 1911 feeding well? I believe the oal on them is 1.250". maybe, they need a little more taper crimp? I'm using the LEE CARBIDE 4 DIE SET. Thanks! :)

Are you saying that they are getting stuck in the magazine?

If so, you probably need to seat them deeper.

That's the way it seems, so you're probably right can they be pushed in another .010" after they have had a light taper crimp then crimp again? If not, the seem to feed fine in my M&P Shield in 45acp.

You should be able to do that. Try that and see if they fit without sticking.

What is your load (powder and charge)?

What is your crimp measurement?

You should be fine seating it deeper. Western's load data shows a 230 XTP (similar bullet profile) seated to 1.210" with a max load of 5.3 grains.

I'll give it a try hopefully, that will work cause that load is pretty accurate through the 1911. Thanks again! :)
